Egesa Ronald Leonard entered politics through cybersecurity consultancy. He offered these services to Presidential election candidates that emerged victorious in Uganda and Kenya in 2011 and 2013. It is during this time that he studied electoral contests in detail and started developing a model that he has successfully applied in Uganda, Kenya, Guinea-Bissau and Senegal for candidates contesting at Legislative and Presidential levels.
This model utilizes cyber offensive and defensive techniques, new and traditional media, data science and politics 101 to manage and skew an electoral contest in favour of Egesa’s clients. It sets him apart from all other political consultants and strategists.
Egesa is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Hacking and Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and has also received advanced trainings in strategic studies, political science and election modelling. He uses his software development, data science and mathematical modelling skills to create and customize software tools to monitor and track election campaigns for his clients.
